Our Companion Club is a community designed to foster friendships, support, and connection for people on the autism spectrum. To make sure everyone feels comfortable, valued, and supported, we follow these simple guidelines:
Safe, Supportive Environment:
We treat all members with kindness, dignity, and respect. We celebrate neurodiversity and appreciate the unique perspectives each person brings. We welcome individuals from all backgrounds and communication levels.
Member-Led Activities:
Our members help guide what we do — from choosing activity nights to suggesting topics for small group meetings. Everyone’s voice matters here.
Small Groups, Meaningful Connection:
We keep groups small and intimate, allowing members to form deep friendships, connect on a more personal level, and avoid overwhelm in large crowds.
Structured Sessions:
Meetings follow a flexible structure — we typically start with a short check-in, move into a group activity or game, and close by sharing thoughts and highlights.
Staff Support:
Our Companion Club is supported by trained facilitators who are there to help foster communication, assist with behaviors if they arise, and make sure everyone feels comfortable participating.
Inclusive and Respectful Communication:
We ask all members to communicate in a way that’s kind, constructive, and respectful. Everyone’s preferences, sensitivities, and boundaries are recognized and valued.
Member Confidentiality:
To help everyone feel comfortable sharing their experiences, we ask members to keep conversations within the group and respect each person’s privacy.
